The AOL thing makes me wonder if these gusy get fined for every customer they loose. I've had these sorts of problems trying to cancel other services.

i dont know about fined
but i bet it does affect them
calls are monitored, the harder they try the better marks they get, and maybe performance affects a bonus system or something like that
id have to think they enforce such a system somehow like that, to motivate people like that

I cancelled three times. They ignored me. I finally had to go into a raging screaming fit.
