Had breakfast at White castle. Bacon, egg, cheese on toast. Went to Goodwill, got a summer dress and some tight short jeans that make me feel like I am playing Kelly Ripa....I just need the heels to go with.
Didn't have much planned out to do today, and at first it looked like rain but then turned out to be a really beautiful day. Went to the local Civil War Days thing going on. Never been to anything like that before, just thought it would be somewhat of a nice outdoorsy thing and was hoping to get to enjoy a little bit of a freak show.
Wasn't quite as much of the freak show as I was hoping, but it was a little more enjoyable than I predicted as well.
Watched guys portraying Custer, Lee and other people for a bit take some questions from the crowd. Listened to the Civil War band play, watched a guy do a medicine show and magic tricks, saw a bunch of guys on a field pretend to shoot each other, shared a corndog, curly fries and a lemonade 3 ways, watched a mock arm amputation being performed and the best....THEY HAD A PETTING ZOO!!! Which was well worth the extra 2 dollars to get in the petting zoo area. The biggest fat bunny I evar saw! Goats, sheep, a donkey, llamas, 2 dwarf pigs, ducks, and the chickens!!! Oh how I loved scooping up the chickens before they knew what I was doing to them!!

Then we walked around the downtown area, went in the local coffee shop. A lot of wind, sun and walking around made us tired so we headed home and sat out in the backyard, then me and mom went out to pick up a salad and Lou Malnatti's pizza to bring back, watch some Star Wars on TV, and then Desperate Housewives.
Think we might head downtown tomorrow, hang out on the beach, Buckingham Fountain and Millennium Park.
