I got fired today.
Brad doesn't know yet.
I didn't want to worry him when there was nothing he could do, and when I got home he was all dressed and excited to go on a bike ride, so I will tell him when he gets back.
I got fired for not following procedures. I did work before it got approved through the usual red tape, and yes even though I did the work fine, correctly and it caused no problems, I still had to get fired for blatantly not following procedures.
AND CRAP!! I can't find my resume anywhere! So I have to start over from scratch! SHIT!!
I just feel bad for stressing Brad out. I can find another unix job, its just a real pain in the ass. Got to do my resume, start networking, checking in with all the unix people I know.
And I saw it coming all day, so I spent the day scrambling talking to other managers and getting them to help, talking to HR to see what or if there was anything else we could do. SCRAMBLING!!!

So I already had my box all packed up, and thankfully they didn't embarrass me by escorting me out, and as soon as I walk out into the hallway by box collapses, shit goes everywhere, I looked so pathetic!!!

It will all work out I know, I can find another job. It's just a lot of stress, I got sick at work today just running around. Maybe Brad will feel sorry for me and take me to go see Star Wars....
